Who doesn't love a swapsie? Even the word 'swapsie' is enough to have me running out to the playground at first break to have a play and eat a Wagon Wheel.
So here's how this swapsie went down (I think) on Twitter:
Her: Oh I love your papercuts!
Me: Oooh, well I've had a snoop at your things and your quilts are amazeballs!
Her: Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Me: Indeed I am!
And with that Nella had a completely incredible heirloom quilt (with matching bunting no less!) and Justine (for 'tis her name) had x2 bespoke handcut papercuts, one for a friends wedding and one to celebrate her first anniversary.
Apologies for the rubbish iPhone photos... it really doesn't do this beautiful quilt justice...
When I turned the quilt over I could have cried happy tears! Look at what was embroidered on the back... I didn't even know she was going to do this:
On unpacking, the quilt and bunting smelled so lovely I had to ask Justine what washing powder she used (answer: whatever was on offer!).
Here's some more of Justines beautiful handiwork:
You can check out more of her amazing work on her blog - www.sewjustinesew.blogspot.com
Or follow her musings on Twitter ( www.twitter.com/sewjustinesew ) which is where we found each other originally and planned this awesome swapsie!
I love it when a plan comes together *chomps on a big cigar like Hannibal*
Night night! xx
