I'm.in.love

I had been coveting this necklace for ages, so I promised I'd treat myself when I got my first sale on Etsy. When I did, I ordered this necklace as fast as my fingers could click on BUY.

It arrived today and let me tell you it is THE most beautiful and exquisite necklace I've ever owned. I love it. And the packaging was beautiful, Christina had even included a little note congratulating me on my first sale. I don't think I'll ever take it off... Yummy.

Genius...

My brother went to Somerset House at the weekend  for Pick Me Up, a contemporary graphic art fair, which sadly ended yesterday. I wish I could've gone. That's the trouble with living in the sticks sometimes...

Anyway amazing papercut artist Rob Ryan had an open studio there, allowing people to follow the entire process of the creation of his beautiful artwork.

Check this out... how's about this for a bit of extreme papercutting, eh?
I think it's absolutely amazing... but must've taken an eternity. No wonder he has little helpers cutting out his designs. I bet they get some good finger blisters.

Perils of the job...

Blister on the top of my finger. I think it might have to do with my
double jointed fingers and the fact my index finger bends too much.
When it happens a lot I 'splint' the top joint straight with a
plaster. Rock 'n roll.

Enough cutting for one day. I'm off to cook dinner for my troops, helped by a glass of vino calapso of course (well it is a bank holiday)...

Lost time is never found again

How very true.
It's a Benjamin Franklin quote.
Beautiful words commissioned by Jackie - hope you like it Jackie!
